Shira Richman, MA, BCBA, LBA

Shira Richman, MA, BCBA, LBA is a Licensed Behavior Analyst and Consultant in Public School Districts across New York.  She consults with Directors of Special Education and provides supports to teachers, psychologists and principals regarding mainstreaming students and inclusion, in both behavioral and social development settings, as well as academics.  She trains staff in writing and implementing Behavior Plans, and conducts district-wide staff trainings and individual parent trainings, as well.  She has presented as a keynote speaker at The Autism Society of Minnesota, organized the information booth at The March for Autism, and presented poster boards and papers at The Applied Behavior Analysis Conference, COSAC Conference and numerous weekends and workshops for families of children with various developmental disabilities.  Richman has published two books on Autism Spectrum Disorders: “Raising a Child with Autism: A Guide to Applied Behavior Analysis,” Jessica Kingsley Publishers, 2001 (also available in Chinese, Japanese, German, Hebrew and Chech) and “Increasing Appropriate Behaviors for Children on the Autism Spectrum: Frequently Asked Questions,” Jessica Kingsley Publishers, 2008.
